Enjoy the varied menu at this affordable family-run diner while listening to great poetry.  Poetry grows in Brooklyn Heights and there's an open mic as well.

Bernard Block’s poems have appeared in the NY Quarterly and the Colorado Review.  He has published four chapbooks: Quest, Prometheus Returns, Portraits and To Music.  Bernard is presently the curator and host of the Anti-Tea Coffeehouse Poetry Collective Series at the Cornelia Street Cafe.

West Village resident Gordon Gilbert has co-authored a trilingual children’s book, Discovering Roots (2010). Still unpublished:
several books of poetry, and a few short stories. Currently producing and directing his Monologues from the Old Folks Home, he also hosts beat generation writer celebrations at the Yippie Museum Café in NYC.
